What is Gingerguide?
Gingerguide is a travel guide app for iPhone and Android. It puts the sights of a city on a live map, plays a two to three minute audio story at each one, and carries an AI guide you can question about any place, the way you would question a human guide. It covers ~100 European cities and ~2,000 sights across 14 countries, narrated in English, Spanish, French, German, Turkish, and Chinese. Download a city once and the whole guide works offline, map included.
Three steps from arrival to immersion
Pick a city
Choose from about a hundred cities across Europe. Download it before you fly if you want to travel without data.
Walk the map
The sights appear around you on a live map. Turn the radar on and the app taps you on the shoulder when a story is close.
Listen, then ask
Press play and hear the story of the place. If it leaves you with a question, put it to your AI guide right there.
A guide you can actually question
A recorded tour ends when the audio ends. Gingerguide does not. Every place has an "Ask your AI guide" button, so the narration is only the start of the conversation.
Wondering why the cathedral facade is striped? Whether the legend about the bridge is true? What the inscription over the door says? Ask in plain words, in your own language, and Gingerguide answers like a guide who knows the place well and never gets tired of questions.
A tour guide that never checks its watch
Stories, not listings
Each sight gets a researched two to three minute story: the history, the legends, and the details you would walk right past, told in a warm, lifelike AI voice.
Ask anything
The built-in AI guide answers your questions about any place in seconds. It is the difference between a recording and a guide.
Works fully offline
Download a city and everything keeps working with no connection: audio, photos, even the map itself.
Proximity radar
Phone in your pocket, radar on. The app alerts you when you are about to walk past something worth hearing.
Six languages
English, Spanish, French, German, Turkish, and Chinese. Not just the menus: every story, in every language.
Your pace, your route
No meeting point, no schedule, no umbrella to chase. Pause at a café or stay an hour longer. The guide waits.
Popular cities
47 narrated landmarks in Rome alone, and guides all the way down to small harbor villages. Every story is written and fact-checked place by place.
